FREE Energy-Saving Kits for Student Families!

Duke Energy’s Energy Education in Schools program offers FREE energy-saving kits to student families who are Duke Energy customers. These kits include easy-to-install products that help families save money on their electric bill.

From Wednesday 11/13 through Friday 11/21, the school with the most eligible energy-saving kit requests will win a FREE PIZZA PARTY for all students and staff!

Additional Program Rewards

Teacher Rewards

For every 15 kit requests submitted between 9/1/25 and 5/31/26 and attributed to a teacher’s classroom, the teacher earns a $50 cash reward.

Grand Prize Rewards for Schools

Schools with the top 5 eligible kit requests from 9/1/25 to 12/31/25 will win:

• 1st Place: $3,000
• 2nd Place: $2,000
• 3rd Place: $1,000
• 4th Place: $750
• 5th Place: $500

School-Wide Reward

If 75% of a school’s student enrollment requests a kit (and each request is eligible) between 9/1/25 and 5/31/26, the school receives a FREE Bright Star Performance (a $1,095 value!)
